Sydney Trains
The Brief
Sydney Trains was hosting its annual Rail Safety Week and The Bureau of Fun was invited to spread the word at its family fun TrackSAFE event.
Knowing that the best way to spread a message is fun, the train experts called us to help educate families with the knowledge that would keep them out of danger near the railway.
Oh….and despite being responsible ‘adults’, we were stopped in our tracks when we heard the best part..Thomas the Tank would be there!
Key mission goals included:
- Engage children to share the rail safety message
- Create memorable experiences that encourage kids to share what they learned
- Spread the word about Rail Safety Week by Sydney Trains
Our Plan of Attack
The Bureau Agents jumped straight aboard the express train to Funtown. If Thomas the Tank was involved, then so were we.
We knew The Bureau of Fun’s level of performance had to meet the kid’s hysteria when they met the bright blue legend of the rails, however, we also knew that we had a serious message to share.
The Bureau Agents dressed in their Sydney Trains best while attendees were invited to wear their favourite Thomas themed outfit. The Agents then hosted a variety of singalong and fun activity workshops throughout the day to drill the safety message home.
Other plans of attack:
- Bringing storytelling to life
- All day family entertainment
- Spreading the word of rail safety
Mission Complete
The Bureau of Fun Agents went full steam ahead when it came to delighting the families on the day. The singalong was a huge success and every child left with a smile on their face.
The event was visited by groups in the hundreds and the event continues year on year with the same level of fun.
